The more dense of people within that traffic that are interested in your offer, the better.
The better the potential for sales, the better the potential for higher commissions.
There are certain tenets to making money online.
In this blog, we will explore the new concept of posting comments on Reddit to generate affiliate commissions.
The whole Reddit commenting process
I will explain the process and keep the explanation about 1 unit of each element. The process can then be scaled to as many units as needed.
The process can resumed as such:
- Proxy-cheap: You must set up a proxy server through a third-party website. The website will give you the credentials to connect to the Internet. Sign up to Proxy-cheap through my link to support my work. You owe me this.
- Adspower: Adspower can be considered a browser instance manager. Each instance can connect through a unique and individual proxy. To instantiate a particular browser client that allows you to connect to the Internet through your proxy, you must punch your proxy's credentials into your Adspower software. - Redaccs: This step is optional. You can claim an "aged" Reddit account using your name on a unique client browser. Redaccs is a website that offers these "aged" accounts. I would consider getting an "aged" Reddit account to be less likely to be suspended. Sign up to Redaccs through my link to support my work.
- Keyword research: This step is very complex. There exist infinite ways to do this step. The goal is to identify Reddit posts that already rank for keywords with buyer intent.
- Comment: Your comment should quickly describe the offer and optionally make a favourable judgement about it. Your affiliate link will be included in the comment.
- Upvote: Next, you need to buy upvotes for this whole scheme to work for your comment. The more upvotes you have, the more likely your comment is to rank higher on the list of comments. The higher you rank, the more likely you will make sales. Sign up to Upvote through my link to support my work.
Setting up your Reddit affiliate process practically
Setting up a proxy
First things first,
Sign up to Proxy-cheap here.
On Proxy-cheap, follow the indications in the images below to get a proxy server instantiated.
Once your proxy is created, notice the news proxy's IP address, port number, username, and password.
You'll use these credentials to set up a browser instance on Adspower. The browser instance will connect to the internet through this proxy.

Now that you have a proxy, we aim to access the internet through it.
To do so, register through this link to a service called Adspower.
Then download the software for your particular computer at this link: Adspower download page
Access the software and log in.
Before proceeding, check notifications concerning any software updates and install them if necessary.
Follow the indications in the image below to create a profile, enter the proxy's credentials to link to that profile, and then open a browser instance that connects to the internet through that proxy.
Once a browser instance opened, you'll see a fresh browser opened and connected through your proxy as follows:
Buying an aged Reddit account
You can also affiliate through new Reddit accounts to avoid spending money on an aged account.
Last time I checked, the cheapest-aged Reddit accounts sold for no less than 80 $.
Use an aged account to make your accounts less prone to suspension.

Keyword research for Reddit commenting
Keyword research is the process of identifying the words that fit your criteria. The broader goal is to create content and title it with the words you have found. Doing so generally ensures that your content appears on SERPs when a query with those particular words is made.

The process is inverse because we are operating for Reddit to comment. You have to search for Reddit web pages that contain keywords with buyer intent, see the monthly traffic the page receives, and see the other keywords that the Reddit page also ranks for on the SERPs.
The best tools for conducting this research are SEMRush and Ahrefs, but you can also use a more straightforward tool like Ubersuggest. Google itself can also be used to identify these Reddit pages.

How to comment for Reddit affiliate marketing
Making the comment
This part of the process is open to trial and error.
I like to post short, snappy comments. The reason is that long comments are less likely to be read.
I usually include a comment of two to three lines. The comment tells you what I like about the product or service I'm promoting or my experience with it. I then mention the product or service I'm promoting.
Do not include the link when posting your comment. It's better to wait a couple of days before editing and placing the link. I do this to avoid having my comment removed or my Reddit account suspended.
Upvoting your Reddit comment
You have your comment, the affiliate link is placed, and you are now ready to upvote that comment.

Closing remarques
Testing to see if your Reddit comment is live
Manipulating Reddit requires a better-designed platform, and the UIs must fully sync with the data stored on their servers.
For example, when suspended, you will access your account as though nothing happened.
Or when your comment is removed, you'll be able to see it while being signed in.
To check whether your comment is live, always check the comment through the comments link on a non-signed-in browser. If the comment appears, it is live online for the world to see. If not, it means your comment got removed, or your account might have been suspended.
When you get suspended on Reddit
Because of the nature of this business model, one of your Reddit accounts will inevitably get suspended.
At that point, it is better to forget about the account and set your proxy so as not to auto-renew. It is best to recreate a new proxy and restart fresh.
After the Reddit comment post
Once you're done with the process, you need to repeat the process for a new proxy, Reddit account, and proxy.
I've tried to post four affiliate comments per account, but the accounts get suspended.
1 or 2 affiliate comments per Reddit account is the sweet spot.
Business model review and conclusion
Some see this online endeavour as easy. This business model might take some time to figure things out. What is annoying are the Reddit suspensions and the subreddit moderators removing commentary.
It would be interesting to understand the motives of these over-zealous Reddit players and the mechanics at play.
We are seeing a clamp down on affiliate marketers on all platforms, and platforms do not want online business owners to drive sales through effective sales technology.
I had instances where my legitimate commentary that abides by subreddit rules was removed.
